Khadi Industry possess quite a rudimentary technology from the time of its inception in both spinning and weaving. The problem that arise in khadi industry in both rural and urban areas is hardship and drudgery involved in manual operation of charkha. Also the planning and implementation mechanism are weak and the planning and management decision does not represent the grassroot realities.
