The Department of Science & Technology (DST) plays a pivotal role in advancing Science & Technology initiatives across the country. As part of its commitment to fostering innovation, DST sponsors the Technology Enabling Centre (TEC) at Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, a Central University. TEC operates with the primary goal of establishing an ecosystem conducive to technology development within universities. Recognizing a key challenge faced by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) – a lack of understanding and knowledge hindering the adoption of cutting-edge technology, TEC focuses on the mining and development of technologies. This initiative is particularly geared towards benefiting MSMEs in the surrounding areas. By addressing this knowledge gap, TEC aims to positively impact the overall profitability of these enterprises. DST-TEC at Dr. Harisingh Gour University offers a comprehensive suite of services, including assessment, training, workshops, and assistive technology devices. These services are designed to empower individuals, fostering their full participation in both the community and the workforce. The center serves as a vital bridge, connecting people with technology that has the potential to enhance their quality of life.

The Technology Enabling Centre stands as a symbol of our unwavering commitment to cultivating innovation and excellence across all disciplines. It is a dynamic space where ideas will not only take root but also flourish, collaborations will not just exist but thrive, and breakthroughs will not merely be pursued but achieved. As we embark on this transformative journey, let us wholeheartedly embrace the profound power of technology to elevate our academic pursuits and redefine the boundaries of what is achievable. This center is poised to become a hub of creativity and ingenuity, where the potential for impactful discoveries and advancements knows no bounds. I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity to be part of this endeavour and would like to express my gratitude. I look forward to witnessing the ultimate success of this project alongside my esteemed team members, as we collectively contribute to shaping a future where innovation is the driving force behind progress and success.

Co-coordinator

Dr. Suneet Walia                                              Department of Business Management

The technology enabling centre, initiated at Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, sponsored by DST with primary objective of facilitating technology transfer to production sector of our economy. We shall endeavour to withstand the intricacies of technology gap existing, lack of availability of technical expertise in the Madhya Pradesh region with special reference to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and together work towards fulfilling the technological enigmas of Business operations.

MSME’s are considered as the backbone of India’s economy, having around 30% contribution towards GDP, they serve as a wider platform of employment generation. Thus, it becomes imperative to withstand the status of the working and failed technologies which have caused real time setbacks to the entrepreneurs.

Hence, TEC is dedicated to explore and bridge the technological gaps so existing and enable the transfer of efficient, updated and least cost technology through networking of scientific experts, laboratories and workshop.
